WHY HOPE AGAINST HOPE?

When 'We Hope Against Hope', we allow ourselves to dream of brighter days to come even when prospects for the future are grimmer than the depressing present.

The summer of 2014, an Ebola outbreak cost the lives of thousands of West Africans in Guinea, Liberia, and Sierra Leone. Thousands of children were left orphaned, and many ostracized by their communities fearful of contracting the virus. Local orphanages sprung into action and did a remarkable job of caring for these children, but they quickly became overwhelmed.

Hope Against Hope, a 501(c)(3) organization, was initially founded to help these orphans, a few pieces of clothing at a time, by organizing used clothing and school supplies drives.   Today Hope Against Hope strives to become a high-impact organization that assists orphanages and disadvantaged children across the African continent and beyond.
